With an illustrious career
spanning over 30 years
Jemina has been lucky enough to collaborate with some of the best in the business and worked on many of Melbourne’s most prestigious events~ Melbourne Grand Prix Spring Racing Carnival and the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
Beginning her Apprenticeship Training at the renowned Myer Florist in the Melbourne city store to owning her own Florist shop in the Mornington Peninsula at the age of 20.
Her passion for teaching was ignited when she joined the Team as Head Teacher at Victoria Whitelaw School of Flowers. This is where the story has a new beginning “Not everyone gets to have a career they love, I’m very lucky” Being able to give back all that I have learnt over the years to up and coming Students is very gratifying and left me wanting to offer more. Not only having her Certificate lll in Floristry Jemina attending night school to gain her Certificate lV in Training & Assessment – making her an accredited Teacher. That is when she returned to where it all began having been a Floristry student at Box Hill Institute (many years before) and coming full circle by returning as a part of the teaching faculty.
A perfect blend of creativity, energy, communication, happiness and love. Let us arrange a smile for you.
I've always loved flowers but never thought of doing a flower arranging workshop before. Jem was a lovely host and informative tutor. The workshop was great value; the arrangement we made was as good as anything you see at the florist's and it's still looking good a week on.
Enjoyed the flower arranging class with my daughter, we enjoyed it so much we will do another one and take my other daughter as well. Small class, easy to follow instructor, lovely fresh flowers, delicious petite fours and bubbly. A lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
